We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. In this engaging role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You will be responsible for verifying patient identities, collecting and labeling specimens, performing quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid, and analyzing test results. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments, performing routine preventative maintenance, and keeping track of supplies.
To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from a four-year college or university. Prior experience and/or training in a related role is preferred. Certification as a Medical Technologist and registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is required. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential qualities for this role.
