Trinity Health's St. Peters Health Partners Laboratory seeks a skilled Medical Technologist for the evening shift. You will perform a variety of tests across microbiology, chemistry, hematology, and blood bank, ensuring accurate results for patient care.

The role requires a NYS CLT/MT/CLS license, a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related science, and on-the-job training. Onboarding, LIS training, and ongoing competency development are included as part of the position.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science with approved medical clinical training.
• NYS CLT/MT/CLS license required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Complete onboarding and training with a preceptor and gain independence.
• Complete LIS training and document results accurately.
• Prepare samples for analysis and assess specimen suitability per policy.
• Evaluate results and decisions for validity within defined protocols.
• Report results accurately and promptly per laboratory protocols.
• Maintain patient ID accuracy throughout testing.
• Maintain competency and education requirements annually.
• Document education and competency progress before due dates.
• Enter patient/QC data precisely into LIS and perform QC testing.
• Troubleshoot issues, escalate as needed, and maintain reagents inventory.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and healthcare teams.
