Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science with approved medical clinical training.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT/MT/CLS) license is required.
• Minimum of 1-year clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and complete training with a preceptor to work independently.
• Complete LIS training and accurately enter patient results into LIS.
• Prepare samples for analysis and evaluate specimen suitability per policy.
• Evaluate test results and microorganism growth for validity following protocols.
• Report results accurately and timely; maintain patient IDs and QC records.
• Assist with inventory of testing reagents and supplies; maintain competency docs.
