Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Registered to join our evening shift team. The role involves performing hematology, chemistry, microbiology and blood bank tests, and supporting physicians with accurate results.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in a health-related field with a lab internship, ASCP certification, and prior laboratory experience; commitment to quality and the mission of Trinity Health is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in health related field, with lab internship.
• Must have ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Receives specimens, clarifies test requests, checks specimen integrity/labeling.
• Operates, calibrates, maintains equipment and participates in quality control activities to ensure the accuracy of lab results.
• Works independently in assigned departments within the laboratory. Performs testing, evaluates results, solves problems, documents results and communicates reports as needed.
