Job summary

The role requires an associate degree (or higher) and licensure in Florida, plus 1+ year of MT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year or associate degree is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of MT experience preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or able to obtain during interview.
• Licenses in Generalist areas (Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing and analyze proficiency samples.
• Assume department leadership in absence of the supervisor.
• Complete all records and documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets.
• Demonstrate good judgment in correlation and interpretation of patient results.
• Review pending logs and result logs; resolve outstanding workload.
• Perform quality control procedures and handle all problem or critical specimens.
