Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to perform high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing in the assigned department. You will utilize advanced instrumentation and follow SOPs to ensure accurate results for providers.

Responsibilities include verifying results, monitoring quality control, and assisting with maintenance, training, and orientation of new staff while adhering to CLIA standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology or related science field.
• Must meet CLIA 88 high complexity testing requirements.
• HEW/Med Tech grandfathered regulations acceptable.
• Clinical laboratory internship completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform high/moderate/waived laboratory testing in the assigned department.
• Use advanced clinical laboratory instrumentation and SOPs.
• Verify and report results with independent judgment and monitor for reasonable results.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree Medical Technology or related science field

CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing (as applicable)

HEW (grandfathered) Med Techs Proficiency Examination or grandfathered regulations
