Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory analysis on received specimens, providing clinical information to aid diagnosis and treatment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in the Core Lab.

This full-time day shift offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance based on eligibility. A Bachelor's degree with science coursework and MLS/MT-type registry is required or eligible. Hematology experience is preferred.

Formación

• Must have a High School or GED Diploma; Bachelor's degree with at least 30 quarter hours of science including chemistry, biology, and math.
• Must be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by a recognized board or be eligible and pass an approved exam within 12 months.
• Core Lab and hematology experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs, reviews, and reports complex laboratory tests following FDA, CAP, AABB, GDHR and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintains equipment and workflow in assigned area; ensures timely processing of workload.
• Analyzes results, troubleshoots QC problems, and uses Laboratory Information System effectively.
• Remains compliant with safety procedures for biohazardous materials and chemicals.
• Teaches students and mentors new employees; supports inventory management and vendor coordination.
