Job Description:

• Performs a variety of laboratory examinations and tests including specialized or experimental procedures assuring rapid and accurate results.
• Is responsible for all technical aspects in the operation of special chemistry services to include training and competency assessment of lab technical staff.

Required:

• Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university in Medical Laboratory Science leading to ASCP certification or equivalent as determined by the Professional Director.
• Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, AAB (AAB with 15yrs.experience), NCA, or HHS certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a Hospital laboratory a minimum of 2 years working in Special Chemistry preferred.
