145 The Medical Center of Central Georgia, Inc (MCCG) in Macon, GA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Core Lab. This full-time day shift role performs complex laboratory analyses and ensures quality, safety and efficiency in all duties.

Eligible candidates must have MLS/MT certification or registry eligibility, a high school diploma or GED plus a BS with science coursework, and be willing to train and mentor staff while maintaining inventory and safety standards in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Registration as an Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) or eligible and must pass certification within 12 months.
• Requires high school or GED, plus college-level science coursework as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Performs, reviews, and reports complex tests per FDA, CAP, AABB, GDHR and Joint Commission standards.
• Maintains equipment, processes workload efficiently, ensures safety and quality.
• Troubleshoots QC problems and uses LIS; maintains reagents and inventory.
• Trains new staff and assists in student teaching.
• Maintains confidentiality and communicates effectively with peers.
