CalvertHealth is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform and ensure accurate laboratory results across hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis and microbiology under supervision. The role requires MT/MLS education, possible senior-year acceptance, and certification before Blood Bank procedures or independent work.

Applicants should possess strong computer skills, effective communication, and a commitment to patient safety and quality service in a hospital setting.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with MT/MLS certificate; senior year students may be accepted.
• Registration/Certification preferred (ASCP/AMT/NCA or equivalent).
• Certification required before performing Blood Bank procedures or working alone.
• 0–6 months related experience required; clinical coursework may be accepted.
• Maintains unit-specific competencies and mandatory training per hospital policy GA-057.

Responsabilidades

• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated under supervision of a medical technologist.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of techniques, principals and instruments and their inter-relationships and physiological conditions affecting test results.
• Communicates effectively with patients and staff; promotes quality patient safety and satisfaction.
• Demonstrates computer proficiency necessary to complete position requirements.
