Job summary

Kingman Healthcare seeks a Medical Technologist to join Laboratory Services. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and certification within 1 year of hire, with prior hospital lab experience preferred.

Candidates perform test procedures, maintain QC records, and may supervise on-site in the absence of leadership, ensuring timely and accurate results daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• MLS/ASCP or AMT/AAB/NCA certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 1 year hospital laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure test procedures are performed accurately per policy; monitor results and verify specimens.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure QC activities are documented.
• Follow QC policies; calibrate instruments and document maintenance.
• Escalate any test performance issues to on-site leadership and take corrective action.
• Identify problems affecting results and take corrective actions or notify leadership.
• Complete preventive maintenance and QC reviews within required timeframes.
• Coordinate multiple tests during shifts, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Possibly act as on-site supervisor in absence of technical leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
