Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist with strong Blood Bank experience to join our team. The role includes analyzing blood, urine, and other body fluids to aid diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities include operating analyzers, maintaining equipment, and performing cell counts with microscopy. A bachelor’s in Medical Technology or MT/MLS certification is required, with full-time day shifts and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Blood Bank experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or ASCP MT certification.
• Core Lab experience including blood bank exposure.

Responsibilities

• Determine normal/abnormal components of body fluids via chemical analyses.
• Analyze blood cells using microscopy and counting techniques.
• Ensure operation of analyzers and lab equipment; calibrate and perform maintenance.
