Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist with strong Blood Bank experience to join our 40-hour Day Shift. You will perform analyses of blood, fluids and tissues and ensure accurate operation of laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Associate's Degree in MLT with NAACLS MT certification pathway.
• MLS or MT-ASCP certification or eligibility within first year.
• Core Lab experience with Blood Bank exposure.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by performing chemical analyses.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopy.
• Ensures operation of analyzers and lab equipment by calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
