Job summary

Trinity Health's Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a Medical Technologist for 40 hours on the night shift. You will perform high‑complexity testing, analyze body fluids and blood cells, and ensure equipment operation with calibration and preventive maintenance in a busy hospital laboratory.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology, MT‑ASCP/MLT‑ASCP certification (or eligibility to obtain within one year).

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology required.
• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP certification, or eligible to sit for certification within the first year.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Medical Technologist – Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford

40 hours, Night Shift

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a talented Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic, mission-driven team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering high‑quality patient care by performing high‑complexity testing in a fast‑paced hospital laboratory.

What you will do:

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.

• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures

• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours, Night Shift, rotating wknds/holidays

Minimum Requirements _ : _

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology

• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
