Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a Medical Technologist to perform and analyze clinical laboratory tests across disciplines, following SOPs, quality controls, and instrument maintenance.

This dayshift position covers Hematology and Chemistry, with rotating weekends and two holidays per year on the afternoon shift; requires BS in Medical Technology and MT/MLT licensure or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure as required by the state board where services will be provided.
• BS in Medical Technology/Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Science or related field.
• WV requires High Complexity Testing Personnel (HCTP) license or Trainee License.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze samples accurately following procedures.
• Set up, run, maintain, and adjust laboratory instruments as per policies.
• Perform quality control and adhere to infection control procedures.
