Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs a variety of laboratory tests and reports data for diagnosis and treatment.
2. May perform procedures across major laboratory areas or specialize in one.
3. No supervision required for specimen processing or reporting results.

Standard Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
2. Participates in meetings, seminars, and quality improvement activities.
3. Respects diversity and maintains professionalism.
4. Maintains reliable attendance.
5. Performs other duties as required.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required: Registered MT (ASCP) or equivalent.

Experience/Skills:

Required: Experience in a Laboratory.

Preferred: LIS experience is a plus.

Equivalent education and experience may be substituted where applicable.

Physical Demands and Environment:

Activities include standing, walking, sitting, talking, handling, reaching, and exerting force up to 25 pounds. Exposure to moving parts, airborne particles, and chemicals.
