Southcoast Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for per diem shifts at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory analyses to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Flexible shifts and weekends/holidays are required as part of per diem scheduling. A Bachelor's in Medical Technology and MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent within two years are required, along with compliance with vaccination policies.

Formación

• A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (36 semester hours biology/physical sciences) and up to 1 year of related work experience.
• Certification as Medical Technologist such as MT (ASCP) or comparable agency within two years of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption with a signed exemption statement.

Responsabilidades

• Under the direction of the Director or Designee perform diversified duties within Laboratory Section involving routine and complex analysis to produce quality and timely patient analysis.
• Contribute to solvency, efficiency and growth of the hospital through accurate laboratory work.

We are searching for a talented Medical Technologist

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Flexible shifts & hours; At least on weekend per quarter and one minor or major holiday

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the direction of Director or Designee perform diversified duties both within and in support of assigned Laboratory Section involving routine and complex analysis in order to produce quality and timely patient analysis to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and to contribute to the solvency, efficiency and growth of the hospital.

• A Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (minimum of 36 semester hours in biology and physical sciences) and up to and including one year of related work experience.


• Certification as Medical Technologist such as MT (ASCP) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies is required within two years of date of hire and if applicable maintain certification through ASCP or comparable approved agency.


• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
