A leading healthcare provider seeks a Medical Technologist in Watertown, NY. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in medical technology and possess registry certification. Responsibilities include performing biological and biochemical tests to aid in patient diagnosis. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
· Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or sciences. Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques which would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program.
· Minimum Experience Requirement: 4 YEARS.
· Must rotate and be approved by lab supervisor in each of the sections of the clinical laboratory. Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and developmental needs of the various age groups to which service is provided and demonstrate the ability to deliver diagnostic procedures effectively.
· Previous experience in a health care environment preferred. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making.
· Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handles multiple projects.

· Ability to work under stress.
· Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology, such as American Society of Clinical Pathologists required, or meets standards set forth by the State of New York.
Job Summary:
· Assumes responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and/or biochemical test procedure as well as more complex or developmental procedures on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimen sources that help physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients.
