An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Patient Care Service team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of specimen collection and processing for routine and specialized testing. Employee will be assigned to Patient Care Service under Ambulatory Care Nursing at either the VA Medical Center - Durham - NC or the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic - Raleigh - NC. The position involves duties such as specimen collection, processing, and preparation for transport, ensuring accuracy and integrity for routine and specialized testing.
English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), proficiency in basic written and spoken English is required for direct patient care positions. A Selective Placement Factor for this role is experience performing phlebotomy/blood draws on human patients.

Prolonged walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working with PPE are required. Dexterity and coordination are necessary for procedures like venipuncture. Travel between clinics may be required.
