Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.

• Experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.

• Previous operator or switchboard and clerical experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Operate a telephone console (switchboard); direct calls to appropriate individuals or departments; respond to emergency codes.

• Notify by overhead paging; dispatch security; provide lobby information.
•  
• Answer physician’s service; handle trouble reports with physicians as needed.
•  
• Record and report daily telephone statistics and related clerical tasks.
•  
• Report console status to relief and inform supervisors of hospital events.
•  
• Provide back-up support to other departments and operate emergency systems as required.
•  
• Dispatch requests for multiple services as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
