Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis offers an Earn As You Learn (EAYL) program for nursing students entering their final semester. A $2,000 stipend is provided upon successful completion of the senior practicum within Mercy's Medical-Surgical Service Line.

Participants gain mentorship from experienced Mercy nurses, work with diverse patient populations, and build relationships with nurse leaders while preparing for graduation and a direct pathway into a Graduate Nurse position.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in the final semester of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program (December 2026 Grad).
• Complete their senior practicum within Mercy Hospital St. Louis Medical-Surgical Service Line.
• Accept a bedside nursing position with Mercy upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Complete senior practicum on Mercy Hospital St. Louis Medical-Surgical unit.
• Commingle practicum duties with mentorship from Mercy nurses.
• Transition into a bedside RN role after graduation and commit to a minimum six-month employment.
