Mercy Hospital St. Louis offers an Earn As You Learn (EAYL) program for nursing students in their final semester. You can complete your senior practicum on the Medical-Surgical Service Line while earning a $2,000 stipend upon successful completion.

Participants gain mentorship from experienced Mercy nurses, work with a diverse patient population, and build skills in assessment, clinical judgment, and time-management. This program creates a direct pathway into a graduate nurse role at Mercy.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in the final semester of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program (December 2026 Grad).
• Complete their senior practicum within Mercy Hospital St. Louis Medical-Surgical Service Line.
• Accept a bedside nursing position with Mercy upon graduation and commit to a minimum six-month employment.
