This position involves supporting the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, disinfection, and distribution of critical and semi-critical reusable medical devices (RMD). The MST will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturer instructions to ensure proper processing of RMD.
One position from 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (M-F), and another from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (M-F).
Minimum requirements include U.S. citizenship, proficiency in English, and either six months of relevant experience or education in healthcare-related courses. Preferred candidates will have at least 1 year of sterile processing experience and certifications such as VA Sterile Processing Certification, HSPA CRCST, or CBSPD.
Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environmental conditions, and wearing PPE. It requires dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to work in contaminated and clean environments.
This is a developmental position at GS-03 to GS-06 levels, with full performance at GS-06. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, child care subsidy, retirement plans, and insurance options. This is a full-time, non-virtual, excepted service position.
