Job description

Shift/Schedule:

  • 10 to 18 hours weekly
  • Shifts are scheduled in advance as often as possible, with opportunities for coverage beyond scheduled hours
  • Ideal shift: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Location: 1120 Commerce Blvd, Swedesboro, NJ 08085

Pay rate: $20.10 per hour

Bonus eligible: No

Medical Equipment Field Technician (Operations), PTE

What Depot Operations contributes to Velocare™:

Velocare relies on small facilities for its distributed supply chain. This role involves manual and automated tasks for receiving, storing, and delivering products to customers, including inventory management, picking, packing, and transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medical equipment using a non-CDL transit van to hospital and home locations, notifying delivery status
  • Show empathy and compassion for customers and patients
  • Load and unload packages and products
  • Perform minor technical installations, de-installations, and troubleshoot technology in the home
  • Maintain vehicles and perform minor repairs
  • Use handheld tablets for navigation and reporting
  • Ensure safety and proper equipment maintenance, supporting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Provide quality service, handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Conduct equipment cleaning as needed
  • Complete required training and comply with regulations (OSHA, DEA, FDA, etc.)
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Comply with vaccination and background check requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Delivery experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, and operate a vehicle for extended periods
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Flexibility for various shifts and overtime
  • Proficiency with computers and tablets, minor tech troubleshooting
  • Healthcare experience beneficial
  • Vaccinations (e.g., Covid-19, Influenza, MMR, Hepatitis B) required or accommodation provided
