Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Sissonville, WV is seeking a Medical Supply Coordinator to manage inventory and distribute medical supplies across central and unit locations. You will develop weekly orders, monitor utilization, and report to nursing leadership, ensuring budget alignment and readiness.

The role requires familiarity with nursing and medical supplies, inventory tools, and MS Office; prior experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiar with nursing and medical supplies used in long-term care or healthcare.
• Working knowledge of inventory management tools, online purchasing system, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email), and other business systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical and nursing supplies inventory by organizing and distributing supplies within central supply and other designated areas.
• Develop and place weekly orders; monitor and report on supply utilization to nursing and administration.
• Partner with nursing center leadership to ensure compliance with Genesis SOPs by managing spend against budget and readiness.
• Establish and maintain reorder point information for routinely used products.
• Restock unit-based locations and patient rooms from central supply to ensure nursing customer satisfaction.
• Verify items on invoices are priced correctly.
