Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Medical Supply Coordinator to manage nursing and medical supplies across central supply and designated areas. You will place weekly orders, monitor usage, and report on inventory to nursing and administration.

Collaborating with center leadership, you will uphold Genesis standards, minimize emergency orders, maintain reorder points, restock patient rooms, and verify invoices for accurate pricing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be familiar with nursing and medical supplies used in long-term care or healthcare.
• Must have a working knowledge of inventory management tools, online purchasing system, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Email), other business systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the medical and nursing supplies inventory by organizing and distributing supplies within central supply and other designated areas; developing and placing weekly orders; and monitoring and reporting on supply utilization to nursing and administration.
• Partner with nursing center leadership to ensure compliance with Genesis SOPs by purchasing to budget, adhering to spend against budget goals, minimizing emergency orders, and managing product utilization.
• Establish and maintain reorder point information for routinely used products.
• Restock unit-based locations and/or patient rooms from central supply to ensure nursing customer satisfaction.
• Ensure proper receipt of medical and nursing supply shipments by confirming items on driver manifests and purchase orders match and are in acceptable condition.
• Verify items on invoices are priced correctly.
