Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support physician privilege processes and maintain medical staff records. You will verify credentials, coordinate appointments, and serve as a key liaison among medical staff and hospital departments.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with credentialing software, and solid communication skills to ensure compliance and timely updates of the medical staff calendar.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative support in a healthcare setting.
• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Knowledge of Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Collects and verifies information for physician privileges.
• Maintains knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
• Acts as resource person to Medical Staff and hospital personnel.
• Monitors Medical Staff database and distributes updates monthly.
• Coordinates appointment, reappointment, and privileging processes.
• Authorizes access to hospital computer systems.
