Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a credentialing specialist to support medical staff and allied health staff with initial and reappointment credentialing and privileging. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Orlando Health bylaws and work with leadership to prepare files for the Credentials Committee.

You will perform primary source verifications, data entry, and reporting, while maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service to physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to physicians and staff and educates on the credentialing process.
• Obtains timely primary source verification and enters data into credentialing systems.
• Develops reports and supports committee meetings and credentialing workflows.
• Supports HR activities related to hiring, assignments, and coaching.
• Ensures compliance with policies, regulations, and physician credentialing standards.
