Qualifications

• Required: Coursework/Training commensurate with education and experience as Credentials Coordinator or Medical Staff Coordinator.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree Medical Staff Services Sciences.
• Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services as Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) upon hire.
• 3 years of experience in a Medical Staff Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides support and coordination to the Medical Staff organization in credentialing and re-credentialing activities.
• Schedules, attends, and prepares minutes for medical staff credentials meetings; follows up on actions and maintains records.
