Job summary

AdventHealth Mansfield in Texas is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to manage physician privileging and medical staff records. You will coordinate the appointment and reappointment process and ensure compliance with bylaws.

Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this full-time daytime role. This position requires 2+ years of healthcare admin support, familiarity with credentialing processes, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative support in a healthcare setting.
• Credentialing/Medical Staff experience highly preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and verifies information for physician privileges within criteria.
• Maintains Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations knowledge.
• Serves as resource on issues pertaining to the Bylaws to medical staff and hospital staff.
• Documents competency and drafts criteria when none exist.
• Monitors Medical Staff database and distributes monthly updates.
• Coordinates appointment, reappointment and privileging processes for AdventHealth.
