Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to ensure all medical staff meet Idaho CMS standards and hospital rules. You will credential new providers, complete bi-annual recredentialing, and prepare materials for evaluations and reviews.

You will assist in quality assurance and data collection across departments. This role requires high school education and medical clerical experience, with certification options (CPCS/CPMSM) pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical clerical experience preferred.
• Certification in CPCS or CPMSM or working toward certification.

Responsibilities

• The Credentialing Specialist will compile initial and re-credentialing packets.
• Distribute initial and re-credentialing packets and verify provider affiliations.
• Gather licensure, education certificates, CME credits, and health background information.
• Search National Practitioner Data Bank, AMA and other investigative agencies for provider information.
• Prepare documentation for Mountain View Hospital Credentialing Committee and Board of Managers.
• Inform department managers on new medical staff members and updates.
• Update provider information in hospital databases and CPSI systems.
• Assist FPPE and peer review processes as needed.
