Responsibilities

• Perform primary source verification of credentials.
• Maintain up-to-date credentialing files (electronic and/or hard copy).
• Support evaluation and decision-making for granting privileges.
• Ensure timely processing to onboard new physicians and for reappointments.
• Communicate credentialing requirements and status with medical staff and leadership.
• Monitor accreditation standards and state regulations related to credentialing.
• Identify and escalate issues affecting quality of care or compliance.
• Represent administrative issues and foster collaboration with physicians and hospital leadership.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current with credentialing standards.
