Job summary

Northwestern Simulation (NU SIM) is a state-of-the-art educational service center within the Feinberg School of Medicine. The Simulation Technician role involves preparing medical workspaces for experiential learning and providing technical support for training using cadaveric and in-vivo tissues, with care for instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities include organizing spaces, assisting with sessions, and ensuring safety, sanitation, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biological science or healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in healthcare settings or formal healthcare training.
• Bachelor's degree in biological science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for NU Simulation training programs.
• Assist with day-to-day operations and training programs.
• Follow health and safety standards per NU policies.
• Prepare spaces, equipment, tissues, and supplies for sessions.
• Attend to learner needs during training sessions and on walk-in basis.
• Describe functions of simulation equipment and conduct room orientations.
