Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Simulation Operations Specialist to support simulation-based education and ensure reliable operation of patient simulators, task trainers, and multimedia peripherals.

You will program simulator software, troubleshoot equipment, train facilitators, schedule experiences, and maintain a safe, organized simulation center while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or in progress with completion within three years and two years' healthcare simulation experience.
• Five years' experience in healthcare simulation or equivalent.
• Proficiency with audio/visual equipment and PC/MAC applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for simulation operations, including prep, maintenance, and repair of simulators and peripherals.
• Support development and implementation of simulation-based education.
• Operate simulators by testing scenarios with facilitators.
• Support digital media and multimedia systems; program simulator software with clinical parameters.
• Set up and clean up simulation environments; ensure equipment security and safety.
• Train facilitators and other users on operational/technical aspects.
• Schedule simulation experiences; maintain organized simulation centers.
