Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Manager of Simulation to oversee the NM-LFH Simulation Center and drive standardized simulation experiences across the region. You will manage daily operations, maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all sites.

Ideal candidate has a master’s degree and at least two years in healthcare simulation as an educator or technician, with CHSOS or CHSE certification expected within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Clinical knowledge and experience in healthcare such as nurse, EMT, paramedic, or allied health training.
• Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare simulation as an educator or simulation technician.
• Certification in Simulation as CHSOS or CHSE within 3 years of hire via Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the NM Lake Forest Hospital simulation center and standardized regional program.
• Manage equipment/supplies inventory, maintenance, and setup; coordinate with facilitators to design, plan, and schedule simulation activities.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards and accreditation requirements; monitor budgets and develop business plans.
• Coordinate and supervise simulation lab operations regionally, including scheduling for hospital, university, and external clients.
• Provide technical support for equipment and AV systems; manage upgrades and repairs as needed.
