Job summary

HealthChannels, LLC is seeking Medical Scribes to support doctors during patient visits in an emergency department setting. You will document patient history, exams and treatments, and manage laboratory results while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Training is provided through Scribe University with hands‑on clinical instruction. Both full‑time and part‑time roles are available, offering real life clinical exposure and career growth opportunities within a large nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with strong listening and communication skills.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM and ability to use a computer for long periods.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work various shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
