Job summary

ScribeAmerica in New Jersey is seeking candidates for medical scribe roles in outpatient settings. No experience is required; we provide training through Scribe University and hands-on clinical instruction while you document patient visits.

Work with doctors during visits, record patient history and exam results, and use EHR systems. The role supports HIPAA compliance and helps keep charts accurate, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (18+).
• Typing speed 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours.
• Access to a laptop (provided for training, you’ll need your own for training).

Responsibilities

• Work with doctors during patient visits to document everything.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and other rules to keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow-ups.
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly.
