Job summary

CareNow Mt Pleasant, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Scribe to work side-by-side with providers, documenting patient encounters in real time and helping patient care move efficiently.

You will enter orders into the EMR as directed, maintain accurate, confidential records, and collaborate with physicians and APPs. A high school diploma and BLS are required; medical terminology knowledge and typing speed are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of clinical or healthcare experience with medical terminology.
• Strong typing and documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Associates or Bachelors degree or related coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time as dictated by the provider.
• Enter orders into the EMR accurately and completely.
• Create and document telephone encounters and other patient communications.
• Ensure documentation reflects E/M level and clinical findings.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs and maintain confidential EMRs.
