Job summary

ScribeAmerica is hiring on-site medical scribes to document patient visits in real time, assisting doctors by recording histories, exams, and treatments. You will use electronic health record systems and help keep patient records accurate and secure.

We offer paid training through Scribe University, mentorship, physician shadowing, and full-time or part-time roles with tuition discount programs. Training prepares you for hands-on clinical exposure across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typing speed of 40+ WPM.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong listening and communication skills are essential.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Access to a laptop (provided after training) for work.

Responsibilities

• Document patient visits in real time with doctors.
• Record patient history, exams, and treatments.
• Use electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Review and track lab and test results.
• Follow HIPAA and keep records secure.
• Keep patient charts up to date and accurate.
• Send and organize documents for doctor review.
• Support the healthcare team with lab tracking and follow‑ups.
