Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Medical Scribe (PRN) to document patient visits in real time and enter history, exams, results, treatment plans, and prescriptions into the EHR. You’ll support labs, radiology reports, and provider orders while maintaining HIPAA standards and professionalism with patients and team members.

Requirements include completing a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or at least 1 year of orthopedic scribe experience; healthcare certification

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or 1 year orthopedic scribe experience.
• CNA, Pre-Med students or equivalent healthcare certification are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience (orthopedics a plus!).

Responsibilities

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.
