Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Florida is seeking a detail-driven Medical Scribe to support providers by documenting visits in real time and entering history, exams, results, treatment plans and prescriptions into the EHR.

You will assist with labs, radiology reports and orders while maintaining HIPAA standards and ensuring high-quality patient care. This on-site role offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Complete a Medical Assistant/Scribe program or have 1 year orthopedic scribe experience.
• CNA, Pre-Med or equivalent healthcare certification encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of healthcare or back-office experience (orthopedics a plus).
• Tech-savvy, detail-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced clinic.
• Responsibilities, knowledge, skills, abilities may evolve with needs.

• Accurately document patient visits in real time.
• Enter history, exams, results, treatment plans & prescriptions into the EHR.

General Summary

Essential Functions

• Accurately chart patient encounters: history, exams, diagnostics, labs, treatment plans, prescriptions, and discharge instructions.
• Interact professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and HOPCo policies.
• Support patient care and care coordination as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring other scribes and staff.
• Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to excellence.

Requirements
