Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Scribe to document information in the electronic medical record at the direction of the physician or advanced practice clinician. The Scribe will document the provider's dictation and/or activities.

Any individual serving as a Scribe will have no patient care responsibilities or offer clinical oversight. In-person Scribes may serve as a chaperone during sensitive exams after completion of required education; the role emphasizes privacy, accuracy, and efficient patient

Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge and spelling are required.
• Computer aptitude and ability to learn new applications quickly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for tracking patient care.
• Ability to record information accurately and promptly.
• Awareness of privacy considerations for patients and families.
