Job summary

Virginia Ear Nose and Throat is seeking a medical scribe to document physician office notes quickly and efficiently. The role involves transcribing encounters, recording office visits, and assisting with treatment coordination in the EMR.

The scribe will navigate EMR systems (Allscripts preferred), capture essential information (HPI, ROS, exams), and help optimize provider workflow. PT shifts across Virginia ENT locations require flexibility and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic medical knowledge; ENT knowledge preferred.
• Good listener with fast typing.
• Experience with Allscripts or EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Listen to physician discussions and transcribe findings.
• Record office visits quickly and accurately in the EMR.
• Document encounters with patients, including HPI, ROS, and exam results.
• Assist in coordinating treatment plans and referrals; navigate EMR and related apps.
• Facilitate patient flow and attend required meetings; flexible PT shifts across VA locations.
