Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine LLC in California is seeking a Medical Scribe to record physician-patient interactions and assist with medical documentation and clerical tasks.

Schedule is weekday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with starting compensation range of $22.00–$24.00 hourly; exact pay depends on experience and location. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Computer skills including data entry and proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication to ensure patient care.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Prior work in occupational medicine is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take notes during patient visits and document them in the EHR.
• Assist with paperwork, summaries, and referral letters after visits.
• Enter data into medical records accurately.
• Support physicians and clinicians with tests and medication administration.
• Communicate professionally with patients and supervising physicians.

Position Summary

As a Medical Scribe, you are responsible for recording a Physician’s interactions with patients and assisting with clerical duties related to medical documentation. Duties include recording a Physician’s interactions with patients, filling out paperwork, summaries and referral letters after a visit and entering data into medical records. In this role, you will play a vital role supporting Agile’s health care providers so that patients can fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation:

Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system
• Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation
• Working with a supervising Physician or Doctor to complete and submit medical records
• Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally
• Completing all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Physician take tests and give out medication
• Helping electronically prescribe medication for patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Computer skills required, including data entry skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to ensure outstanding patient care
• Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Previous work experience in occupational medicine clinic setting desired
