Agile Occupational Medicine in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy occupational medicine clinic. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, from taking vital signs to managing patient records and assisting with procedures.

Schedule: Weekdays with no nights or weekends. Compensation: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Verify insurance coverage and process claims.
• Perform basic clinical tasks: vital signs, medications administration.
• Assist providers with drug testing, evaluations, drawing blood, and other duties.

Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-7pm; Thursday 7am-4pm

Compensation: Starting compensation range is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
• Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
• Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
• Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
• Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
• Providing patient education and answering patient questions
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
• Assisting with medical procedures as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
