Responsibilities

• Accompany physicians during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, findings, and provider interactions.
• Record symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions as directed.
• Transcribe physician orders for laboratory testing, imaging, medications, and other services.
• Document procedures performed during patient encounters.
• Prepare, update, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments while helping optimize provider schedules.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and document scheduling needs.
• Protect patient confidentiality and maintain accurate, complete documentation.
• Support additional clerical and clinical operations as needed.

Location: We have an opening at our Denver, CO 80222 office and at our Lakewood, CO 80228 office. You can choose which location works best for you!

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to partner closely with physicians and support efficient clinical operations. In this role, you will document patient encounters in real time, maintain accurate electronic health records, and help keep patient visits and provider workflows running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany physicians during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, findings, and provider interactions.
• Record symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions as directed.
• Transcribe physician orders for laboratory testing, imaging, medications, and other services.
• Document procedures performed during patient encounters.
• Prepare, update, and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments while helping optimize provider schedules and manage earlier appointment availability.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and document scheduling needs appropriately.
• Protect patient confidentiality and maintain accurate, complete documentation.
• Support additional clerical and clinical operations as needed.

Qualifications
Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Ability to document patient encounters efficiently and accurately.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Preferred

• At least one year of Medical Scribe experience or related healthcare experience, training, or education.
