The Opportunity

Responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.

The Role

1. Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including health history assessment, medical questions, and health screening procedures (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, finger stick for hematocrit and protein levels).
2. Educate new donors about plasma products, screening, tests, policies, and nutrition, ensuring all questions are answered professionally.
3. Register and transfer donors as trained, based on operational needs.
4. Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
5. Monitor donors during and after donation for reactions and notify staff if needed.
6. Report donor flow issues to supervisors.
7. Accurately record donor data in the electronic system following SOPs.
8. Maintain a clean work environment and ensure supplies are available.
9. Follow all safety, health, and confidentiality policies.
10. Possibly cross-train in other areas and utilize bilingual skills if required.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 months experience in customer service or clerical work, preferably in healthcare.
• Basic math skills.

Working Conditions

• Follow instructions and observe safety protocols.
• Able to see, speak with customers, and operate equipment.
• Stand and walk frequently, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazards.
• Wear PPE as required and work overtime if necessary.
