Job summary

Job Summary

Part‑time Plasma Donor Screener – 4 to 6 hours per day, 3+ days per week. Works at the BioLife Plasma Center in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm availability and shift days and times early in the interview process and remain informed about any schedule changes.
  • Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and customer service.
  • Screen new and repeat donors, record vital signs, and document finger‑stick results.
  • Use the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes using approved procedures.
  • Support donors across a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit for the entire shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs.; occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine‑motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • 90% of work tasks involve prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer or patient–facing role is helpful.
Benefits
  • $19.00 starting hourly wage, subject to state or local minimum wage requirements.
