Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of administrative, office, hospitality, customer service, or medical office experience or training.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes and medical insurance processes is beneficial.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of the physician’s office and schedules as assigned, including New Patient, post-op and pre-op appointments.
• Provide back-up coverage, coordinate referrals, obtain authorizations, and verify insurance eligibility.
• Enter patient demographics, pre-certifications, and ensure radiology tests and operative reports are ready before appointments.
• Handle high-volume calls, manage voicemails, texts, faxes, and referrals with professionalism.
