• Coordinates block scheduling for the department to maximize OR utilization.
• Provides training to physician office staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinates surgery schedule with centralized scheduling for the hospital.
• Serves as a resource for physician surgeons regarding scheduling needs.
• Assists management with daily department operations including staff records and licenses.
• Maintains timekeeping records for the department and communicates discrepancies.
